hello, i came across your site while looking for some information on ferret health. I have an 11month old female ferret (Lucy) and I think she may have developed a cold. So far all it is is she is sneezing alot and is kind of snuffling (her nose sounds plugged up) while she is active. There is no mucous or discharge coming from either her eyes or her nostrils, and no change in fecal matter, water or eating habits. She seems to be somewhat more lethargic today than most days. Probably about 50% energizer bunny compared to her normal 100%!! She is generally very active and comes most places with me and today is the first time I have noticed anyhting. So my questions would be 1. is there a common ferret cold? 2. What should I do to treat it. There is a local vet that is knowledgable about ferrets if it comes to it, but if it is a cold then there is nothing a vet can do for her. Thanks for your time,

Hey i am concerned my female ferret Roxy. Shes has her second litter of kits. Her first litter had 8 kits and all survived and grew to be chunky an well. However this litter doesnt seem to be doing very well. She had 6 this time, so far 2 have died. I thought this is unusual for roxy. So i had a look at her and i dont think she is producing milk. The babies are only 2 days old.
What should i do.? Is it possible to hand rear the babies at such an early age?
